sorry can’t help you there, as these are only meant for streaming purposes.
@Vivek: No one said you or anyone is a noob. It’s just that methods to download can’t be provided here for a number of reasons including legal aspects
India is the world champion in the 50 overs game and number one ranked nation in test cricket, doesn’t leave any room for a fan like me to complain, does it. but I am a human….!!! and want to see my favourite side be ruthlessly professional!! therefore to all due regards wherever it is due I believe if you want to have an example of ”connections” the Wicket Keeper of the present side should not be a bad example!! No issue with his batting, i never have issues with keeper’s batting but this guy just cannot keep wickets at this level. (I can’t use any other words even for a young man like him)
Javagal Srinath, one of the finest bowlers India has produced, and one of my favourites and one of the most gentle cricketers one would ever see. He would never ever say a word to anyone whether its Ricky Ponting shouting at him unnecessarily, or Hansie Cronje and his men hitting him in his ribs with their bats or his co-fielders dropping numerous catches off his bowling. that guy would never say a word. But when this Wicket Keeper Patel would keep wickets that gentle bowler would lose his nerves. That same Srinath used to scream such dirty words at this wicket keeper (and that too when he was a teen ager i.e. patel) and Srinath used to abuse him frequently!! Patel never got a game in 2003 world cup when probably he was the only specialist wicket keeper (clearly showing the lack of faith his teammates had in him). oh yaa, Munaf Patel giving a verbal to Parthiv Patel reminded me of this very unusual situation of Srinath going at Parthiv Patel
Amazingly Patel is getting good auction prices at the IPL and even more amazing is the fact that he gets his chances even before people like Denesh Karthik. How could somebody justify Patel before Karthik (unless karthik is unavailable).
Why not, it seems, whoever plays for CSK has a better chance to play for India than anybody else!!!!!!!! (Patel did not play for CSK this season though).
Last time India visited West Indies, in the one dayers apart from bravo’s heroics one important factor was the exceptional middle order bowling by the two part time spinners Chris Gayle and Marlon Samuels, Don’t know whether this mix is out of the planning of the windies (of course gayle is not playing right now). These two bowlers are very tall and used to create a trajectory which was unusual for relatively shorter indian batsmen who won’t be used to that kind of trajectory.
Marlon Samuels broke on to the scene when he gave very good all round performances in Australia when West Indies struggled as a team and probably he was the best player on that tour with lara not playing. I don’t know why he is not being used at all as a off break bowler!! And when playing against India Samuels does a little more than against other teams.
India did win the match but as a world champion they are expected to perform better as lesser teams have beaten WI easier than this recently (of course India is not full strength, but still)!!
this might sound harsh to some but the closest i’ve seen a cricketer wanting to spit on a teammate was kumble to parthiv during india’s 2003 tour of aus, particularly steve waugh’s final test.
I don’t blame Kumble or Srinath for that matter. Getting those Australian wickets is so so so hard and that series in 2003-2004 could and should have been won by India and it would have been won by India but for this wicket keeper. (That series was a joy to watch, can’t forget the six hit by Dravid in Adelaide test off Gillespie during a hostile spell of quick bowling)
More than winning the game, at times being kept on the field could hurt the bowlers so much. you drop ricky ponting and he scores a double hundred and then you drop him again, how can somebody digest that!!!!! (Those runs had to be made by Indian batsmen against the likes of Gillespie, McGrath, Warne and Lee, this guy would just let those runs bleed by dropping sitters!!).
And Patel’s body language again leaves much to be desired as an international sportsman.
