Kohli’s stumping by Carlton Baugh (which ruled him out anyway) was more conventional, but I think there was a little more to Laxman’s than it being just a habitual keeper’s whipping away of the bails. In the previous Chanderpaul over, Laxman had cumbersomely leaned on his bat while leaving a couple of widish balls. Like you would with a walking cane. Baugh probably noticed this and was ready for it the next time around. So credit to him rather than it being a freak dismissal.
In other news, Laxman continues to be stuck on 16 hundreds which is quite average for a player like him.
