    Admin,

Brilliant highlight package…! I thoroughly enjoyed the game. I just couldn’t guess who would win! You have to sort of feel sorry for SRK, right? Always so close and yet so far…

Anyway, Dhoni was brilliant as usual. I don’t want to jinx it but sometimes it feels like the man can do no wrong! :-)

On a side note, I’m not too happy about the reshuffle…how are you supposed to support a side if after every three years, it’s almost like a new set of cards are brought out and shuffled!

Can you imagine Rooney etc hopping from franchise to franchise in rapid succession?

It’s hard to pick a side to support. Arguably, you really don’t need to…after all, in the grand scheme of things, it really doesn’t matter, does it? But I have decided that I’m taking a stand against mindless regionalism and even though I’ve been born and raised in Mumbai and adore Sachin, I’ve decided to support the Indian captain – Dhoni’s CSK. I’ve never even been to Chennai, so that’s all okay then.

What about you, Admin? Any particular loyalties?

Obligatorily MI for sachin – have been to mumbai just twice though. if i were to be really loyal it would be rcb, but i’ve usually found myself more interested in rajasthan and sometimes csk when dhoni’s in gambler- mode.
as for this year, am still figuring out who’s where.
      and thanks.

    Hey Admin,
Thanks for the highlights as usual. After the WC, IPL seems too much “tamasha” to me. I even had to skip to highlights because it doesnt feel like real cricket for some reason. Every player is doing it for the money and there is absolutely no sense of a team. Even the commentators were trying very hard to make it exciting. For some reason however, the stadium was full which just confuses me even further lol. Maybye, its that I’m a Pakistan supporter and none of our players are in there so I naturally dont have too much interest but I watched the IPL last year and was rooting for Rajasthan Royals….this edition hasnt felt the same as of now. I’m guessing it also has something to do with a “grudge” that I dont know about but it exists after Pak lost to India lol. Anyways, hopefully this’ll become more exciting.

Also I had a question. Is there anyway that you could turn down the brightness or the contrast because on full brightness on my HP dv6 3020us I can barely see the ball on the pitch. That might be another reason why I started skipping today a little. I also hooked it up to plasma via hdmi but it was still too bright on the Pioneer 50″ which displays some amazing colors. It might have to do with your recording settings which might have picture set to “vivid or dynamic”. I dont know how you record (dvr or thru computer…sorry dont know much about whether you are able to extract file from dvr because over here its impossible due to DRM, etc.) . Brother, I’m not hating on you or anything like that because you have done a superb job during WC, before and even now. I would appreciate if you could look into it. :) Thanks again.

i haven’t changed any setting from usual, but will check. is this the same way youve been watching stuff here always?

I’ve been visiting this side for a year now and yesterday’s highlights were just way too bright for some reason. Might be the broadcaster now that I think about it. Its just a tiny bit frustrating when you cant see the ball on the pitch lol.

@Gauhar below…I agree man…Pakistani players would make IPL even more exciting…Afridi’s bowling and now a days batting once in a blue moon would be very entertaining….Razzaq..Gul..Shoaibi and list goes on. Politics should definitely not get involved but us desis are like that.

    Hi Admin,

What a start to the IPL. Great game but then it always is when Dhoni is playing. It would be nice to see players from Pakistan in the IPL. Here in the US politics and sports don’t mix. Hopefully next year we can see players from all nations in IPL. Just a thought!!
